Character & continuity
Interiors with a sense of permanence.
The architecture provides the foundation for each commission. Existing stonework, timber, fireplaces and the proportions of the rooms inform the palette and the placement of furniture.
We consider the house beyond its principal reception rooms: the entrance, passages, guest accommodation and private spaces all contribute to its overall character. A consistent approach to joinery, lighting and finishes connects these areas without making every room alike.
Antiques and collected pieces can sit alongside contemporary furniture and bespoke upholstery. The balance is carefully considered, allowing the interior to retain depth and personality while meeting the expectations of modern residential living.

Comprehensive interior design
For substantial renovations and new residences, we develop the interior alongside your architectural plans. Layouts, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting and bespoke joinery are resolved with the material palette and furnishing scheme.
Drawings, samples and specifications establish the design in detail. We work with your appointed project team through the agreed stages, with procurement and installation coordination included where defined in the commission.

For an established country house or a newly acquired property, we compose a complete furnishing scheme. Furniture, lighting, curtains, rugs and artwork are selected to suit the scale of the rooms and their intended use.
Existing collections can form an integral part of the brief. Bespoke pieces and sourced furnishings build around them, with approved orders and installation coordinated through to final styling.
